Catherine Brooks is a writer and illustrator based in the Forest of Dean, England, where she lives with her husband, two daughters, and two much-loved rescue cats—Toffee and Pebbles. With a lifelong love of art and storytelling, Catherine began creating engaging, educational content during the COVID-19 lockdown to support her children’s learning at home.

Her creative journey took a new turn when she teamed up with long-time friend Ceri Smallpage, and together they began developing books designed to make learning fun and accessible for all children. Catherine also previously ran a mum-and-toddler group, where she explored playful ways to support early childhood development.

Her work is rooted in the belief that learning should be joyful, imaginative, and inclusive.
